Craig Reaves is a freelance copywriter and consultant with more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience.
Craig’s first “professional” writing came as an intelligence analyst in the United States Navy. While not directly related to conventional business writing or marketing, creating daily intelligence briefs would develop the analytical skills and ability to condense mass amounts of information into succinct, relative, and readable copy would serve him down the road.
After the Navy he began his sales and marketing career in the automotive industry. After years of award winning service and being recognized for his unique marketing abilities he was promoted to fixed operations management at a major Audi Dealership.
Recognizing his ability to market a niche product to a nationwide audience Craig was asked to consult with Audi of North America on national marketing campaigns for factory to dealer and national factory to customer marketing campaigns.
During this time recognition for the sales letters, brochures, and web copy he personally developed to increase sales for his employer was recognized by outside sources. “People kept asking me to write marketing material for them – I thought –Wow! I could have a part-time business doing something I love to do.”
Craig’s formal copywriting training came from award winning copywriter and author Steve Slaunwhite who complimented Craig on being in the top 10% of writers he had trained and mentored.
Craig now teams with a network of freelance graphic designers, web designers, and works directly with corporate clients and non-profits crafting and delivering quality marketing copy for all facets of online and print media.
When he’s not writing or consulting Craig can be found on various golf courses around Jacksonville, Florida or spending time with his wife, and their Bassett Hound Dusty.
